In 2023 I met a woman, she shared with me that she had just been diagnosed with terminal cancer. We began to meet every week. Prompted by a conversation about age and expectations we began to explore pleasure. We have found it in food, vibrators, clothes, sex workers, walks, pornography, films and events.
I have since been collaborating with other women who have been diagnosed with terminal illness.
(Insert title) is informed by what we have learnt, my prior experience of collaborating with women who have been through trauma - working with people who run pleasure workshops to make them accessible and co - hosting sex parties that use teledildonics (switching key swapping for control swapping).
It is a collaboration between myself, my contributors, supporting artists, neuroscientists, technologists and activists. Our ambition is to create an interactive experience where participants have the time and the space to experience the pleasures of others, and to think about their own. If it all goes according to plan then participants will leave feeling curious, inspired and fabulous.
You are welcome. Anything goes. There is no such thing as a guilty pleasure
